I ran into Mike Rowe while he was signing some posters and filming at the Kansas City Marriott. He was very kind and supports Career and Technical Education. He was the keynote speaker at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) in Kansas City, MO June 2013!

I have since been to the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference 3 times in Louisville, KY and have had the pleasure of getting a selfie with Mike every year. He is such a great guy and supports what we are trying to do to raise awareness about Career and Technical Education!!

Mike Rowe diligently supports Career and Technical Education. He has created a website called Profoundly Disconnected where he talks about the "Skills Gap" and also about his foundation called the mikeroweWorks Foundation that raises money to provide financial support for students studying in the technical trade fields. They have given scholarships, tool stipends, and they also help cover the travel costs for students who compete in SkillsUSA. Please click below and check out what he has to say!
