SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student excel. It is a great opportunity for students to meets other students and industry personnel from all over the country.
There are approximately 98 areas of trade, technical, and leadership fields of competition. Each year there is a state competition and the Gold Medal winners from each state for each area of competition go onto the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) which will be held once again in Louisville, KY for 2019.
My students and I have been to the National Competition 4 times. I have sent 11 students to the state competition and we have received 5 Gold medals and 6 Silver Medals!!
